PERSONAL INFORMATION

Discover the milestones of my education and my career that reflect my skills.

Find out how I changed my career by following my passions and values.

"Learning never exhausts the mind, never fears, and never regrets."
- Leonardo da Vinci

Education

I completed my secondary education in 2002 with a specialisation in Sciences and Languages (English and Dutch) at Collège Sainte-Croix et Notre-Dame in Hannut.

Afterwards, I explored different fields of study, including:

- Computer Graphics at Albert Jacquard in Namur (2002)

- Art History at the University in Namur (2003)

- Bachelor's degree in teaching French at Henac (now Henallux) in Malonne (2004)

Although I didn’t complete these courses, each experience taught me something valuable about myself and the kind of work that truly motivates me.

At the time, I felt uncertain about the right direction to take.

So, I decided to start working. This decision disappointed my parents, and from then on, in all my jobs I worked hard to make them proud.

I established principles that have guided me ever since and have played a key role in the professional career I have built today:
-    Create my own opportunities
-    Persevere with patience
-    Work hard
-   Never give up
-   Focus the objective

Career

I started my career as a sales assistant at Free Record Shop in Namur, a store that sells multimedia products.

During my five years with the company, I not only discovered my professional strengths but also developed skills that continue to serve me today :

- Organisation : managing multiple tasks efficiently while prioritising time effectively.

- Customer Service : understanding customer needs and delivering a high standard of service.

- Autonomy & Proactivity : identifying gaps, anticipating challenges, and taking initiative to solve problems.

Those five years were an important chapter in my professional journey. I worked in a dynamic environment, enjoyed collaborating with great colleagues, and valued the strong connection with customers.

I continued my career at VOO, a telecom company.

During 15 years, including 9 years in IT Testing, I progressed from a quality officer role to testing management.

I led testing strategies, coordinated teams, optimised processes and contributed to the success of critical projects.

These experiences have given me rigour, leadership, analytical skills and a user-focused mindset.

Although this career has brought me a lot, I wanted to find a job that better reflected my values.

Hobbies

My passion for board games is one of the main reasons that prompted me to change careers.

Board games have long been a central part of my life

For me, they are much more than  just a hobby : They are a tool of sharing, learning and socialising

In a world where we spend a lot of time in front of screens, games help families and friends bond and communicate.

This passion made me realized  that I wanted to make it my career.

However, I was unable to find a job in a games library because I didn't have the qualifications.

So, I decided to go back to school.

This choice marked an important step in my journey: aligning my skills with what deeply motivates me.

Henallux

Since 2024, I have begun a career change to librarian-documentalist at Henallux in Malonne

I sincerely hope to work in a game library or as animator in a public library. â€‹

Returning to studies is not always easy but I'm very motivated to succeed.

These studies make me really happy and I'm proud to have the strength to begin a new life that will be better for me.
